Penang - Where to go, eat & buy!

If you are planning for a 3-4 days short vacation, Penang is a worthy place for your consideration as there is a wide variety of activities which you can choose to do, coupled with famous local food to satisfy your taste buds. I've been to Penang on many occasions, and compounded some key pointers for your consideration when planning a trip to Penang.

Transport
Previously, the overall transportation system in Penang is not very well-developed. With the introduction of services like Grab and Uber, this has drastically changed. All you need to do it to download the apps in your smart phone, and hire a private car to bring you to the places you intend to go.

Stay
I've stayed in Gurney Hotel, Royal Hotel, Le Dream Boutique Hotel, Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa during my visit to Penang. Gurney Hotel is within walking distance to the stretch of shopping centres and hawker food along Gurney Drive while Royal Hotel is close to the famous Macalister Road Market. If you would like to stay along the beaches, Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa is a good choice. My current favorite hotel in Penang is Le Dream Boutique Hotel. Its close proximity to George Town and the town center, coupled with cozy and clean rooms makes it an excellent choice for anyone who would like to be in the center of all action in Penang.

Although not as popular as Ipoh white coffee, I personally feel that Coffee Tree's white coffee is much aromatic, and 1 of the best white coffee around. They also have other (unique) coffee flavours such as Tiramisu and Coconut.
