Perth Trip Day 1 - Kings Park, Watertown Brand Outlet Centre, Fremantle

After a 5 hours flight, we reached Perth Airport at about 5.30am, and proceed to pick up our rental car. We choose the rental package from Europcar as we can conveniently pick up the car from the airport. The cold and fresh air of the spring morning freshen us up as we drove to Kings Park. We parked at Lotterywest Family area carpark, and walked to Stickybeaks Cafe to have our breakfast.

After breakfast, our little girl had a great time playing at the playground at Lotterywest Family area, while the adults sit at the cafe to enjoy the morning breeze & coffee break.

Next, we drove to Forest carpark and cut across the Kings Park to take a walk along the Lotterywest Federation Walkway.

After spending an enjoyable morning at the Kings Park, we went to the Watertown Brand Outlet Centre (previously known as Habourtown Brand Direct Outlet Shopping) for some shopping. As there wasn't too much things to look/buy, we ended up making it a late lunch stop before we drive to Fremantle.

Initially, we wanted to have a photo stop at Matilda Bay Boatshed on our way to Fremantle, but we are not able to locate it. Here is a photo of Matilda Bay Boatshed I took from the Internet, and you will understand why I think it is a pity that we did not manage to locate it.

After driving for about 30mins, we reach Fremantle and checked in at Quest Habour Village Apartment. Instead of staying at a nice hotel at Perth City or Fremantle for the night, we decided to try something different, and we are so glad that we made the correct choice!

Quest Habour Village Apartment

Quest Habour Village Apartment is situated next to the sea, and also next to where yachts were parked. We took the 3 bedroom apartment facing Challenger Habour, and the apartment has cooking and washing equipment, and also a private balcony where you can sit down and be awed by the scenery. The price is very reasonable. Here are some pictures I took in the apartment.

The famous stretch of eateries in Fremantle town is also within walking distance (5-10mins) from Quest Habour Village Apartment.

We had our dinner at Little Creatures Brewery, and had a great time eating and drinking there probably due to the atmosphere, even though we were quite tired after the red-eyed flight.

After dinner, we walked back to the apartment, enjoying the breeze of the sea before calling it a day.
